Front End Intern

OVERVIEW

Frenik Marketing Group is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Front End Developer Co-op to perform software testing, design, planning, scripting and execution for a variety of key customer facing and internal applications.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interact with Full Stack Developer, Business Analyst, UX Designer and other Development team members to generate a strong understanding of projects and objectives
  • Create and execute test scripts and use cases 
  • Document and diagnose use cases 
  • Write functional requirement documents and specifications; 
  • Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms 
  • Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting 
  • Escalate technical use cases as needed in a timely manner in an effort to determine optimal system performance 
  • Submit ideas for the continual improvement of processes and procedures within QA in order to improve quality, reduce risk, and increase efficiency 
  • Stay current on emerging technologies 
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Web Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Experience with JavaScript/HTML5/CSS 
  • Strong math skills 
  • Understanding of graphic design methodology 
  • Experience with web services and API testing 
  • Experience with Quality Center Administration responsibilities; 
  • Solid understanding of application programming and User Interface Development (HTML5, CSS) 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and collaborative skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

NICE TO HAVE

  • Visual Studio and C# experience
  • SQL, PHP, Java, OCR, Ajax, JQuery, Knowledge of SDLC 
  • Ul/UX experience
  • JIRA agile development software experience 
  • Adaptable in a dynamic, yet interactive, development and quality environment
